Episode 12: Slow news week…

There sure wasn’t much happening last week in either the theaters (unless you count The Avengers continuing to kill at the box office) or in the news… Which made it a little difficult to find things to talk about.

News & Gossip:

  • Is the world ready for a Love Actually sequel? article
  • Channing Tatum might be gearing up to save the White House article
  • Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise to team up article
  • Taylor Lautner: Action Superstar article

In theaters now:

  • Dark Shadows (trailer): Dark Shadows, or as I like to call it, Dark Shadows: The Movie That Should Have Been So Much More, was a bit of a let down. The film has a great look to it but the plot has so many holes and questions that it’s hard to concentrate. It’s easy to see that the people involved were passionate about this project, but much like it’s source material it is a soap opera… though while people generally have years to come to grips with the plot lines in soap operas we are only given 2 hours, and the story suffers. There is little to no background giving on any of the characters and their interactions seem forced and out of place. This cast was wasted on this script. Both Anna and I would rate this film a 2 out of 5.
